Meet Your Coach
Ever wish you had a coach in your back pocket to cut through all the fitness jargon and simplify strength training (without breaking the bank)? Allow me to introduce myself:
Hi, I’m Jess!
And through Sister Strong, I’ve created simple, easy-to-follow programs backed by a combined seven years of experience coaching women like you.
As a wife and mom to three kids age 5 and under, I get it. We want to have rich, fulfilling experiences with our families - and we want to have the strength and energy to do it. I use my own training to keep up with my kiddos and the chaos that is sometimes daily life, and I want to help you do the same.
My love for fitness began as early as I can remember when I competed in a second-grade track meet. I went on to play college basketball and just never stopped training and learning!
It’s been a joy to continue my education to best serve this community through various areas of wellness and different stages of life. I hold certifications as a Certified Personal Trainer (ISSA), Certified Nutrition Coach (PN), and Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist (GGS). I’ve used this training and my own personal experiences to serve women in various settings: collegiate sports teams, collegiate beginner strength training courses, 1:1 strength and nutrition coaching, and coaching women in my own community here in Sister Strong.
My deepest desire is that my work will help women learn to live with confidence and that Christ will be glorified through our collective efforts. I’m so grateful you’re here, sister.

At a minimum, I would recommend a light and heavy set of dumbbells and some long-looped resistance bands (if you don't have a gym membership). I've created a guide that shares some of my favorite at-home equipment! Check it out here.

Weight loss primarily comes from nutrition and eating in a calorie deficit. However, when done properly and consistently, weight training will help you to build muscle which can increase your metabolism, helping you burn more calories at rest and can change the shape of your body. So short answer: when paired with nutrition and lifestyle changes, these workouts can help to transform your body.
